Curran is a 4th generation native of North Park and of her family’s ranching operation in that valley. She is currently an attorney specializing in water rights, water law, land use, agricultural, and special district law and in the past has worked in areas including oil and gas law and mineral title examination.

Curran attended Grinnell College in Iowa, where she was a member of the women’s basketball team, and attended law school at the University of Wyoming. Prior to becoming an attorney, Curran worked for the Jackson County Administrator’s Office in Walden, CO, where she was involved in programs addressing the pine beetle epidemic and other issues involving public lands, water, and the management of natural resources of the North Park area. She was formerly the IBCC North Platte Basin Roundtable’s Education Liaison and completed the Colorado Foundation for Water Education’s Water Leaders Program in 2008.

Curran enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking and camping, and especially enjoys continuing to explore and experience her native North Park.
