Big Grizzly Creek Diversion and Headgate Installation

Big Grizzly Creek Diversion

Owl Mountain Partnership recently completed Phases 1 and 2 of the Big Grizzly Ditch in the North Platte Basin. Using approximately $138,000 in contributions through the Colorado Water Conservation Board’s Water Supply Reserve Fund, this project created a new diversion on the Big Grizzly Creek to assist with diverting water into the Big Grizzly Ditch and creating a safe, non-erosive overflow into the Creek. Additionally, an old and dilapidated headgate was replaced with new, functional infrastructure.
