Riverine process are complex and dynamic. There is no established approach or methodology that is appropriate for all circumstances. Additionally, the ISF Rules do not require use of R2Cross as the only methodology. Other approaches can be used depending on the characteristics of the stream or river and the natural environment. Other methods include, but are not limited to:
- PHABSIM
- River 2D
- Site Specific Methodologies
Please contact CWCB staff with questions regarding other methodologies used.
